The larger double figure fish has been caught and returned safely to the lake. We have recieved yet another stocking including some of the Larger fish for both lakes.
The Fishery is now open from 0830 - 9:00 pm with gates being locked at 9:15 pm.
The office closes at 5:00 pm, and the bait lake closes at 6:00 pm unless booked in advance for a group of 5 or more for an evening sesion.

The Fly Lake is stocked with fish from 2 pounds to 20 Pounds
the fly lake is fishing well with many near double and double fish being caught The Bait lake is fishing well with many fish up to 4 pounds being caught.
Do not forget : You will need your 2012 Rod Licence for fishing at South Linden,

South Linden Fishery Fishing Report
Weather has not been good to us this past week, but those who fished south Linden had some good catches. The lakes are well stocked, though the water quality is coloured it should be clearing in a couple days. You do not have to book, but it is good to check the website www.southlindenfishery.org to check out current conditions. We do private fishing days for clubs and groups.The Fly lake is stocked with fish including 2-20 pound Rainbows and Blues, There are also a number of Browns in the lake.
Jim Kelly Amble caught and released 10 and 6 , George Maddison of Bedlington caught and released 10 while David Maddison caught and released 9 both on Dancers. L Marshall caught and released 6 mainly on Hares Ear. Alan Thompson of Seaton Sluice caught 5 and released 3 including a 12 pound Rainbow and a 8 pound 4 oz Rainbow. on Damsel. G Douglas of Red Row caught and released 10 in a 4 hour session on a egg fly.

The bait lake has also been fishing well and is always well stocked, with most catching full bags with some in the 4 pound region, both Rainbows and Blues on worm and maggot.
South Linden is now open until 9:00 pm for evening fly fishing.The Bait lake closes at 6:00 pm
 This nice 8 pound 4oz Rainbow was caught by Alan Thompson of Seaton Sluice on Saturday 12 May 2012. Alan also caught and released a 12 pound Rainbow. among others caught with a total bag of 5 mainly on a damsel. Good Fishing Alan

Local Weather Report from MET OFFICE
Please Note Most will have heard by this time that Kevin Dawson, Fly Fishing Instructor will be assisting a fishery owner at Elgin,Scotland for the summer by managing one of his fisheries there. Kev will begin this in early June. Kevin will continue to work with us during the summer by providing one weekend each month here at South Linden offering private tuition etc here. If you require any fly fishing instruction, you can book, and contact Kevin direct either thru his mobile number, or his email address.
We wish to thank Kevin for all his support to our fishery over the past years, and we hope things work well for him in Scotland during the summer. Kevin and his family will continue to live in Rothbury, and he will be doing a weekend each month at South Linden. We will provide details of this later. We all look forward to his returning to us after the summer fishing season. Dennis and Andrew

Brown Trout
Brown Trout were added to the fly lake . The Brown Trout are all in the 3 to 4 pound average. These fish will be for catch and release only, and hopefully will over winter in the fly lake.
All Brown Trout caught must be released... thanks

Your club could have a BBQ at the fishery, Normal fishing prices apply, and it is just £4.00 per head for an excellent BBQ You can book the fly lake or the bait lake for an evening session or for the day for your group !

NEW TROUT FISHING SEASON 2012
The ticket envelope along with your money should be placed in the letter slot (Marked Tickets)
on the end of the caravan as you walk into the Caravan area...
The Above
New Day ticket has been Working well at the fishery.
We ask fishermen to come prepared to pay the exact amount of their fishing day ticket. Please fill out the above form, and place the envelope with your money in the Safe letter box at the end of the caravan.
Be prepared to have the right amount of cash
If a member of staff is present, we will still sell you a ticket, but we can not always be there We also ask that you fill in the fishing form in the hut and do your catch and returns when leaving at the end of your session.
Thank you for your cooperation.
We will also have a small stock of worms available in the hut and we ask that if you need worms, to put your1.80 per box in your envelope as well when you purchase your ticket.
We have a old Ice Chest in the small hut for worms we will try to keep a few boxes there.

Fly Lake Bookings
We have put a Event Calendar on the bottom of this page scroll down to the bottom to view.
Warning
If you Fly fish, and do not wear hat and glasses, you could loose an eye, or at the very least need a trip to the hospital to remove a fly... It will not only be fish that you catch....
 The fishery now has improved security
This is continually being updated due to poaching and threats of poaching.
Warning The boundries of the fishery are now protected with mains operated electric fence !
If you enter into the fishery without permission
after hours , you will be prosecuted.
Taking fish that Extra fish or two that you have not paid for is another form of poaching and theft... We will PROSECUTE!
We will be checking bags when you leave the fishery.
(our regular and BEST customers say) "We have nothing to hide, so we do not mind you checking our bags.!
Please be sure to enter your fish catches
in the book as you leave the fishery.... We can only maintain
the stocks of fish in the lakes if we have an accurate record of
what is being caught...

South Linden Worms
For the Bait fisherman, we supply our own worms.
They are packed 20 in a Tub and are only 1.80 per Tub.
Ask a member of staff at the fishery for your worms. If there is no member of staff available, you will find a number of boxes of worms in the chest in the small hut. Just put your worm money in with your ticket, and enjoy your session.
