At South Linden Fishery would like to offer you some of the below things for thought.....
 We now have available a licenced fly fishing instructor attached to the fishery. Please contact Kevin Dawson at http://www.northumbriaflyfishing.co.uk
We cater to Fishing Clubs or groups of fishermen or women are seeking a fishery to have a little sporting contest............
We can fire up the BBQ and provide a good feed for about £3.00 per head for the food. We will need a few days notice to order in the meat. This is a great end to a day of fishing for your goup.
With a little pre-planning, we can provide a tagged fish to add to the lake for a little more sporting activity ( This should be arranged in advance )
Andrew ties his own flies, and these are available for a reasonable price from the Fishing Shelter. We also do stocked flies, wet ,dry Lures, and they are all at only 40 pence each .
We have abandoned our fly casting pond, it was poorly planned out, and unuseable. We have filled it back in. We do however have available the inflatable pool owned by Kevin Dawson, which could be available for special occassions like our big Fish Weeks, or weekends.

If you are a disabled person (Blue Badge) please phone ahead, and we will open the gate for you. You will be able to park at the waters edge for easier access. If you just arrive, we will still open up the gate for you. This facility depends on how wet the land is and whether or not you can get your vehicle down safely please do abuse this facility.
In the fishing Shelter/Office, we have available for our Customers Teas, Coffee, POP, Crisps, Snicker Bars, among other things. We now have a toilet available for our customers, which is located just on the end of the office/fishing shelter, and outside for easy access.
We have a small amout of Rods and Reels and bait fishing tackle in stock for Sale at reasonable prices...
We have key rings with South Linden Fishery and the PHONE Number on them, as well as Fridge magnets.
We have worms available for Bait fishing The worms are packed with 20 in a box, and are only £1.60 per box. We recycle your old worm boxes and compost, so leave them at the office when you finish fishing.
We do not stock maggots at the moment.
Powerbait and sweet corn are not allowed to be used on our fishery.

We do not have rod licences available
The Rod Licence must be obtained prior to fishing at your local Post Office, or on line with the environmental Agency. The Rod Licence runs from 1 April to 31 March each year.

We have for hire the following items of equipment
1. Fly Rods and Fly fishing equipment -ready for fishing.
2. Bait Rods and Bait fishing. Equipment -ready for fishing.
3. Umbrella for bait fishing.(this should keep you sheltered in case of rain and winds.
4.We have available nets to be used at the fishery,

The fishery now has
improved security in effect due to poaching and threats of poaching. If
you enter into the fishery without permission, you will be prosecuted.
Taking extra fish that you have not paid for
is another form of poaching and also theft
We will be checking bags when
you leave the fishery.
