The South Linden Big Fish
Event was a great Success, for all those who attended. We at South
Linden would like to thank those fishermen and women who braved the
chilly weather to attend the event..... The Bonus is that the big fish
are still in the lakes to be caught again....
K Mole and R Tewart fished the Bait lake on 9 April, and
caught their full bags of Trout which included a three pounder for each
of them.... The Bait lake is fishing well, and the lakes are clear....
This nice rainbow, was caught
by Mr. John Stafford of Bedlington.... and it was caught using a Black
Montana
This nice
Rainbow 4.5 to 5 pounds was caught in the Bait Lake recently by A.
Convery from Whitley Bay... This was one of 6 fish Caught by this
fisherman... Well done..

Rainbow was caught in February by Jamie Birch of Morpeth, and shared
with us at the fishery on 6 April. Nice fish Jamie

mentioned on Sky Sports tightlines programme on 30 April.....
Aldo Bernardi age 11 caught his first
ever fish at South Linden Fishery... While fishing with his father and
younger brother. Well Done Also

busy fly lake early March , as you can see just a few days after the
floods and dirty water, the lakes are clear and fishing well
Bait Lake: G Black from Whickham
with his 5 nice fish caught in the Bait lake. He also went to the fly
lake, and caught and returned a nice Rainbow from the fly lake. these
fish were caught in a very short time using worms and a bobble float
with about a 4 foot trace........ This was G. Black`s first time to
South Linden, and he promises to return again soon. 5 March 2010
Ken Watson from Whitley Bay
Braved the cold on 18 February and caught Three nice Rainbows releasing
this nice 4 1/2 - 5 pound Rainbow to be caught another day.
Nice Work Ken...... bye the way, the lake was
frozen over on the bottom half today, so if it feels like there might be
ice, check with the fishery before coming to fish.... thanks the
management

These fish were caught in
the fly lake today 22/4/201 we are unsure of the name, but they were
some nice fish and among the many trout caught..
